Engineering for Irish companies.
Irish buyers often carry EU obligations and a parent company's standards at the same time. We put the paperwork both will ask for in front of you before the first call: an Article 28 processor agreement, the transfer clauses and an audited information security management system.
Working with Ireland
Hours, money,
and paperwork.
The three things that decide whether a cross-border engagement works. Everything here is specific to Ireland.
Time overlap
09:00–12:30 GMT, 09:00–13:30 in summer
Ireland keeps GMT in winter and moves an hour forward in summer, like the UK. India is five and a half hours ahead in winter and four and a half in summer, so our working day ends at 12:30 your time in winter and 13:30 in summer. Standups, reviews and demos sit in your morning. Your afternoon is carried by written reporting.
Currency and tax
EUR
Quoted and invoiced in euros. Services exported from India are zero-rated, so no Indian tax appears on the invoice. As we supply from outside the EU to an Irish business, you account for VAT under the reverse charge, which is the standard treatment.
Data protection
- Governing law
- GDPR (EU 2016/679) and the Data Protection Act 2018
- Authority
- Data Protection Commission
- Our role
- Processor, on your instructions
Named sub-processors, written consent before any addition.
Engagements run under an Article 28 processor agreement that names every sub-processor and needs your written consent before another is added. Transfers to India are covered by the 2021 Standard Contractual Clauses, with a transfer impact assessment supplied alongside. EU data residency is available and written into the agreement, including for build and test environments.

What your procurement will ask
Answered
before you ask.
The questions procurement teams in Ireland typically ask, with our answers. Where we do not hold something, the answer says so.
Article 28 processor agreement
Prepared and available before the first technical call, with the sub-processor list, the technical and organisational measures and audit rights.
Standard Contractual Clauses and TIA
The 2021 SCCs with the relevant modules, supplied together with a transfer impact assessment that addresses access to data under Indian law.
DORA and NIS2 supplier questions
Financial entities under the EU's Digital Operational Resilience Act, and organisations in scope of NIS2, ask suppliers for security and continuity evidence. We answer from our ISO 27001 control set, with exit and continuity terms written into the contract.
Public tenders
We respond where a tender allows a supplier from outside the EU. Where it requires an Irish or EU-established supplier, we cannot bid, and we say so.
Certificate numbers, accreditation status and the verification route are published on our trust page. Check them without asking us.
Work we take on in Ireland
Common problems
we build for.
Common work for teams in Ireland. If one of these is yours, send us a brief.
EU product teams of global companies
Teams in Ireland that carry EU-facing product work for a parent abroad, where GDPR, data residency and the European Accessibility Act shape the build.
Regulated financial products
Payments, lending and insurance products where the audit trail, access control and supplier evidence under DORA matter as much as the feature.
Engineering capacity without a Dublin hire
A lead who needs more engineers this quarter. Named engineers inside your repository on a monthly allocation, with a three month minimum and no recruitment fee.
Why we suit teams in Ireland
- The Article 28 agreement, the SCCs and the transfer impact assessment exist before you ask, anchored to an audited ISO 27001 control set.
- Your whole morning overlaps with our day: three and a half hours in winter and four and a half in summer.
- Everything is in English: meetings, written reports, decision records and code.
We have no Irish or EU entity and no office in Ireland, so contracts are cross-border, with India as the governing jurisdiction unless we agree otherwise. Your afternoon falls outside our working day and is covered by written reporting. If a tender or your policy requires an EU-established supplier, we are the wrong answer.
Ireland · Questions
Asked from
Ireland.
General questions about pricing, process, IP and security are answered on the FAQ page.
- Do you sign a GDPR Article 28 processor agreement?
- Yes. Our Article 28 processor agreement is prepared in advance and available before the first technical call. It names every sub-processor, sets out the technical and organisational measures, grants audit rights and requires your written consent before a sub-processor is added. Transfers to India are covered by the 2021 Standard Contractual Clauses, supplied with a transfer impact assessment.
- How is VAT handled on your invoices?
- Our invoices are in euros with no Indian tax, because services exported from India are zero-rated. Because we supply from outside the EU, you account for Irish VAT on the invoice under the reverse charge, the standard treatment for business-to-business services.
- What is the working overlap with Ireland?
- Three and a half hours in winter, 09:00 to 12:30 GMT, and four and a half in summer, 09:00 to 13:30 Irish time. Standups, reviews and demos sit inside that window, and written reporting covers your afternoon.
